Today I made display stands for my plushpuppies and tree plushies (more & maybe “how to” later) – with the potential intention to take them to the Tea in the Trees Market at Cintsa tomorrow – and I realised I had not yet posted pics of my trees.

Who doesn’t love trees?  (Really?  What’s wrong with you? 😉 )  Trees are awesome in so many ways.  So, in addition to the animal creatures I’ve made into plushies, I decided (via Jean’s tree-ific idea – thanks!) to make some trees too.  Here they are:  from the Stuffed with Love series:  “Trees” – a fabric forest; leafy, plushie gorgeousnes; each uniquely individual just like the real thing, but small & soft.

Cute hey?

They are 20cm (7.87″) tall from base to top branch tip.  The brown & white-patterned trees are made from traditional  Shweshwe fabric, Da Gama (more about that later) and the others from a kind of satin from Home Fabrics.  The leaves are Designers Guild fabric, backed with red felt – they look really pretty backlit:  the red edges glow!  Each leaf is positioned with care for maximum sprightliness and hand embroidered onto it’s puffy, plushie branch.  I just love these trees!  🙂

To buy one – for yourself, or as a ridiculously awesome gift for someone special  🙂 – contact me hereR80 or $15 + postage.
